About

This conference is part of a consolidated research tradition that, since the 1990s, has focused on innovative processes in small and medium-sized firms. This tradition is jointly promoted by the ASPI - Association for Small Business Studies, the scientific journal Piccola Impresa/Small Business (PISB), and the University of Urbino Carlo Bo.

Today, research on SMEs must respond to an urgent practical challenge: addressing the epochal transformations that are redefining political, social, and economic equilibria. We are in the midst of complex processes such as de-globalization and digitalization, in addition to the intensification of environmental and social challenges.

The 7th PISB Conference focuses on how SMEs can adopt responsible innovative processes that deal with deglobalization and integrate digitalization and sustainable development to create new value for society and the environment.
